Suburban High Point with lake access and Palladium-area retail
North High Point is the newer, suburban side of the city: the neighborhoods around Oak Hollow Lake, Skeet Club Road, the Palladium and the Deep River corridor out toward I-74 and Wendover Avenue. Most of the housing was built from the 1990s on — traditional two-stories in HOA neighborhoods, lakefront and lake-view homes around Oak Hollow, and townhomes near the shopping.
It appeals to buyers who work anywhere in the Triad: Greensboro, Winston-Salem and the airport are all 15 to 20 minutes. Oak Hollow Lake and its marina, the Palladium's restaurants and theater, and High Point University's steady investment in the city are the draws. School assignments split between Southwest Guilford and High Point's own schools, so check the address.

Well connected by road: I-74, US-311, Wendover Avenue and Eastchester Drive meet here, so Greensboro, Winston-Salem, PTI Airport and Kernersville are all easy. Hi tran buses serve the main corridors. Within the neighborhoods, most trips are by car.

The Palladium (restaurants, cinema, shops) and the Wendover/Eastchester corridor carry the retail load, with Harris Teeter, Publix and Target close by. Oak Hollow Lake offers a marina, campground, sailing and the Oak Hollow Golf Course; Piedmont Environmental Center and the Bicentennial Greenway start on the lake's edge.

Suburban and convenient, with the lake as its amenity. Neighborhoods are organized around pools, clubhouses and cul-de-sacs, and the newer construction means lower maintenance than the historic core of High Point. It is quieter than Greensboro's equivalent neighborhoods and priced a little below them.
