Northern Davidson farmland turning into sought-after subdivisions
Wallburg and Midway are northern Davidson County's growth corridor — the stretch between Winston-Salem, High Point and Kernersville where farmland has been turning into subdivisions for twenty years. Both towns incorporated in the mid-2000s to manage that growth, and both still have a rural look between the neighborhoods.
The draw is simple: 15 minutes to Winston-Salem or High Point, Davidson County's lower tax rate, newer construction on larger lots, and the Oak Grove and Ledford school zones. Oak Grove High, opened in 2017, is the newest high school in the county and a major reason families move here.

US-52 (soon I-285) and NC-109 are the spines; Winston-Salem, High Point and Kernersville are all about 15 minutes, and I-40 is close via US-52. Entirely car-based.
